Let me start by saying that 99% of Freelancers aren’t bad, but they could very likely be a bad fit for you and your project. Have you found someone through an acquaintance or even a family member who knows someone that “does WordPress”? Great! You should most definitely talk to this wonderful recommendation but more importantly you should be equipped with the tools to find out if they’re the person for the job. Save money, time, and stress by following my advice.

Brent Schultz
Brent is a Development Lead at VML working primarily with VueJS and Drupal for them. He also is a long time WordPress Pro (Formerly 10Up and DEG) and Freelancer. Brent prides himself on being a WordPress evangelist and enthusiast. He loves using WordPress in new and inventive ways to solve problems people don’t typically believe WordPress can handle. His startup, PackRip, was built with WP API, JavaScript and Firebase and is now funded with multiple employees and going strong after two years.
